Hi, I’m Katie.I’m a self-proclaimed structured creative. Equal parts strategy and imagination, I bring both sides of my brain to every project.
The result: Measurable progress for my clients, and a genuinely good time getting there.
I started my career in journalism and worked in that space for nearly two decades, writing for outlets like Bloomberg Businessweek, Fast Company, USA Today, and the San Francisco Chronicle. I covered everything from business and social justice to travel and animal conservation, work that honed my ability to listen deeply, ask sharp questions, and tell stories that move people.
That curiosity led me into consulting, where I began embedding myself inside marketing teams, ghostwriting for executives, and advising leaders on strategy and communication. Today, as founder and CEO of my own consulting firm, I help teams align around shared priorities and move forward together.
Much of my work happens through Strategic Intensives, highly customized sessions that feel a little like having a fairy godmother drop in to help your team cut through noise and find clarity.
The result: more joy, less confusion, faster decisions, and strategy that sticks.
Outside of work, I co-host a mental health and humor podcast, run an artist discussion series, and write a newsletter called Between the Lines. I also serve on the board of directors of On the Inside, a nonprofit that uses creative expression to support incarcerated women.
I split my time between Bend, Oregon, and San Francisco, and when I’m not working with a fabulous team on strategy, I’m hanging out with my loving team at home: my husband, Tyler, and my two pups, June and Ollie.
